{jottings & a good idea for giving}

I got a call last night from one of my dad's long-time friends asking where (of the hotels he was looking at) he and his wife should stay in NYC if they want to be close to all the Rockefeller Plaza Christmas goings-on.

Of course I told him the truth (midtown) but oooooooooooooh I can't imagine wanting to be there. RockeHELLer Plaza? the big giant tree? rockettes? tourists buying NBC peacock embroidered sweatshirts? am I jaded? too New York?

in more positive holiday-related news, check out the gift-buying option below. nifty.

Project Enterprise, a local non-profit organization that helps entrepreneurs start their own businesses by proving business training, loans and etworking opportunities, is holding its first-ever Holiday Bazaar to showcase its members' businesses.

Take care of all your holiday shopping this year by supporting local businesses in neighborhoods across New York City. The Bazaar will be held on Saturday December 11th from 11am - 4pm at the Minisink Townhouse in Harlem (646 Lenox Ave at 142nd Street).

For more information, visit our website -http://www.projectenterprise.org/involved/events.html. The bazaar is free and open to the public and will feature entrepreneurs selling everything from children's toys and gifts to electronics to bath and body products.

Please pass this along! If you can't make it to the Bazaar, you can shop using our online directory of local microentrepreneurs - http://www.projectenterprise.org/Member_Directory/bizdir.htm
